Incentives and Resources for Teachers

National Board Certification
A system to assess and certify teachers who meet high, rigorous standards developed by the National Board for Teaching Standards. Participation is voluntary and the system does not replace existing state licensing.

This site is devoted to helping California teachers and school, district, county, and university support providers access information about programs that support teachers' National Board Certification candidacy.

SPECIAL EDUCATION INCENTIVE PAY
TRSS Program:

The Los Angeles Unified School District Board of Education has approved a program, in which special education teachers could receive an annual $1,000 stipend.

Loan Programs
APLE Loan Program:

The Assumption Program of Loans for Education (APLE) was established in 1983 to provide loan assumption benefits to credentialed teachers. Visit the California Student Aid Commission website for the APLE Loan Program and other aid available for teachers.

The U.S. Department of Education's Office of Educational Technology (OET) develops national educational technology policy and implements this policy through Department-wide educational technology programs.
