 US Constitution Requirement

All credential candidates must demonstrate knowledge of the US Constitution and California Government. This requirement is typically met by a Political Science course needed to complete a Bachelor's Degree at most California accredited universities. An optional test is available for those whose course of study did not include this requirement.

 Evaluation of Foreign Transcripts

Individuals with degrees awarded by universities or institutions outside of the United States must have their transcripts evaluated.

Career Ladder members pay $25.00 of the evaluation fee, while the Career Ladder subsidizes the remaining amount charged by IERF. Career Ladder participants with a Bachelor's Degree or higher can request an application from the Career Ladder Office.

Evaluation of Foreign Transcripts is done by IERF (International Education Research Foundation, Inc.)
