Teaching Opportunities: The Los Angeles Unified School District is currently seeking credentialed applicants to teach in specific subject fields, including Chemistry, Physics, Elementary Bilingual: Korean, Elementary Bilingual: Mandarin, Foreign Language: American Sign Language, Foreign Language: Korean, Foreign Language: Mandarin, and Moderate to Severe Disabilities. Attention Current Substitutes: The Renewal of Availability and Reasonable Assurance Letter link is now available for the 2010-2011 school year. You must renew online before June 18, 2010 at 5:00 pm to select a start date in July or August. Renewals completed after 5:00 pm on June 18th can select a start date between September 2nd and October 4th. Please be advised that no renewals will be accepted after October 4, 2010 at 5:00 pm for the 2010-11 school year. You may visit the Substitute page at www.teachinla.com/substitute in order to access the renewal link. (added 5/20/10)

Teacher Vacancy Webpage: The District is pleased to announce that teacher classroom vacancies are now available online. This page provides prospective and approved teacher candidates with up-to-the minute information regarding position vacancies. It also enables teachers, with approved Teacher Initiated Transfers, to identify positions for which they may wish to interview. Please click here to view our current teacher vacancies page. Occupational Therapists and Physical Therapists

Now recruiting school-based Occupational Therapists and Physical Therapists: Do you want to work in the school setting as an Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist? A degree from an accredited school as well as a current license from the California Board of Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy and the State of California are required. New Ethics Training Resource: The District has launched a brand new training resource for staff called "Ethics U". Please go to http://ethics.lausd.net/ethicsU to access this resource. (added 1/27/10)

Administrators Information for Managing the Recommendation of Readiness (RoR) Process: District leaders responsible for completing the readiness process for candidates applying for an administrative examination, can click here to access the RoR materials and for guidance on completing the requirements of the new process.

Security Procedures at Beaudry Headquarters: The District utilizes a visitor management security system. In order to gain entrance to the building, visitors will be required to present a valid picture identification to security staff in the lobby.
