First Contractcontract renewal

All Provisional, Pre-Intern, and University Intern Contracts are valid for a period of up to one year and expire each year on June 30th. To continue contract employment, you must meet District contract renewal requirements.

EXTENDING YOUR CONTRACT BEYOND JUNE 30th
(With a Certificate / Permit Expiring On or After October 1st)

A contract can only be extended to the ending date of your certificate/permit.

If your certificate / permit expires on or after October 1st, an extension of your existing contract can be issued to cover the time between the ending date of your contract and the ending date of your certificate / permit.

A recent satisfactory evaluation (within the current semester) from your school site administrator is required before your contract can be extended beyond June 30th.

Once a current evaluation is received from your administrator, a reoffer letter and contract will be mailed to you.

When you receive the reoffer packet:

1.
Fill out the entire bottom section of the contract (signature, date, home address, and telephone number).
2.
Complete Form 1282 (green).
3.
Return the yellow and white copies of the contract along with Form 1282 in the envelope provided.
4.
Keep the pink copy of your contract for you records. Show your copy of the contract to the school site administrative assistant.
