CTC Fee Restoration: The Governor and Legislature are currently considering a budget proposal to restore application fees to $70.  If passed by the Legislature and signed by the Governor, the fee restoration could be in effect on July 1, 2012. Individuals whose documents (clear, professional clear or 30-Day Substitute permit) are within one year of expiration may now renew.  The new issue date will be based on the current expiration date. The California Commission on Teacher Credentialing has requested that all credential renewals be completed via the Internet. In conjunction with this, the District's day-to-day substitutes are asked to renew their permits through the ease of the online process.

To access the renewal web page:

1. Log on to www.ctc.ca.gov
2. Click on "Renew Your Credential"
3. Click on "Renew Your Credential Online."
4. Follow directions for the "Renewal Steps."

Additionally, District substitutes are required to do the following in order for Certificated Workforce Management & Qualifications to register their Emergency 30-Day Substitute Permit with Los Angeles County Office of Education.

1. Complete an Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit Affidavit Form (HR-8766) .


2. Submit completed Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit Affidavit Form (HR-8766) via email to credentialservices@lausd.net as an attachment.

Mac and PC users will need to have Microsoft Word in order to complete the Substitute Emergency Permit Renewal online.

If you do not have Internet access, you are welcome to use the District computers in Certificated Employment Operations lobby, located on the 15th Floor of the Beaudry Building.
