I am a Day-to-Day Substitute. Can a school still request me by name or pre-arrange my assignment by name?

  • Yes, Day-to-Day Substitutes can still be name requested and prearranged.

How is my calling rank determined?

  • The calling rank changes daily based on the number of school requests and substitute availability.

I am a Day-to-Day Substitute. How do I qualify for benefits?

  • Substitute employees who in the previous school year were in paid status for the equivalent of 100 or more days as a result of any one assignment or any combination of assignments in certificated service shall be eligible for benefits. To remain eligible an employee must be in paid status for one day in each pay cycle.

I am a Day-to-Day Substitute. Do I qualify for unemployment benefits?
