The goal of the ESC is to ensure that each employee receive exceptional customer service and an efficient response to concerns, while continually incorporating the wellness needs of each individual. Rapid Response is a federally mandated and funded program designed by the Department of Labor to provide assistance to employers and employees affected by layoffs. Rapid Response works in conjunction with the Employment Development Department, the Los Angeles City Workforce Investment Board and the Los Angeles County Workforce Investment Board. Rapid Response provides the following services through Work Source Centers:

• Assessment of job skills and aptitude
• Electronic job listings
• Development of a personal employment plan
• Vocational training programs
