The Recommendation of Readiness (RoR) represents the immediate supervisor’s endorsement, supported by the second level supervisor, of the candidate’s potential to succeed in a school site administrative position. The RoR was developed to ensure that only those candidates ready to advance to the next level position are admitted to the examination process. In response to feedback from instructional leaders, the District has increased the transparency and established uniform criteria for supervisors to reference when making recommendations. It is expected that all parties involved in the RoR process will work collaboratively to make decisions that are performance based, objective, and serve the best interest of the District.

Human Resources has developed the following resources which are available at all times via this website:

  • Administrators’ Guide to Managing the RoR process: This tool explains the scope and purpose of the RoR and includes the Success Indicator questions. At the end of this guide, administrators will find the signature page, which they will use to document their recommendations.

  • Administrator's Online Tutorial: This web-based tool provides a step-by-step guide to managing the redesigned RoR process, along with answers to frequently asked questions.
