The Recommendation of Readiness (RoR) represents the immediate supervisor’s endorsement of the candidate’s potential to succeed in a school site administrative position. The RoR was developed to ensure that only those candidates ready to advance to the next level position are admitted to the examination process. In response to feedback from instructional leaders, the District has increased the transparency and established uniform criteria for supervisors to reference when making recommendations.

Human Resources has developed the following resources which are available at all times via this website:

• Administrators’ Guide to Managing the RoR process: This tool explains the scope and purpose of the RoR and includes the Success Indicator questions. At the end of this guide, administrators will find the signature page, which they will use to document their recommendations.

• Certificated Administrative Candidate Portfolio: Prospective candidates will use this tool to document their experiences and accomplishments as they relate to the Success Indicators.

The following resources will be available in Summer 2010:

• Administrator’s Online Tutorial*: This web-based tool provides a step-by-step guide to managing the redesigned RoR process, along with answers to frequently asked questions.

• Candidates’ Online Tutorial*: This web-based tool is designed to provide candidates with details on their responsibilities in completing the RoR requirements, along with information on the entire examination process.
